ChamsTrack (portal.chams.llc) is a private, internal financial management application operated by Chams Holdings LLC ("we", "us"). It is used exclusively by the owners of the company to manage the company's own finances. It is not offered to the public and has no consumer users other than the company's owners.
Through Plaid Inc. ("Plaid"), we retrieve transaction history, account balances, and account metadata for bank accounts that we ourselves connect and own. We also store business records (entity details, documents) that we upload. By connecting an account through Plaid Link, the account holder consents to this collection. Plaid's own privacy policy is available at plaid.com/legal.
Data is used solely for internal bookkeeping, expense categorization, and cash-flow monitoring. We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties. Transaction descriptions are processed by Anthropic's Claude API for automated categorization.
Data is stored on our private server. Access requires a per-user account, password, and multi-factor authentication. All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+). Bank access credentials and uploaded documents are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. We never receive or store online-banking usernames or passwords — those go directly to Plaid.
Financial records are retained while the business requires them (generally 7 years for bookkeeping records) and deleted thereafter. Any account holder may disconnect a bank or request deletion of their data at any time by contacting us.
